OAF Learning

I am Oracle Technical Consultant with knowledge in SQL,PL/SQL,Workflows,Reports also I have some basic Knowledge of Core Java.

I have got chance to learn OAF,
Is going to study OAF will be useful for me.?
I have a feeling it is something very different from my current skill set and will be of less use to me.
