O/S-Error: The process cannot access the file because another process

hi

Today our testing database did not start.

I checked the logs and the following error message is there-:



Sun Jun 28 15:22:42 2009

KCF: write/open error block=0xa0d online=1

file=2 C:\ORACLE\ORADATA\STAGING\UNDOTBS01.DBF

error=27072 txt: 'OSD-04008: WriteFile() failure, unable to write to file

O/S-Error: (OS 33) The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file.'

Errors in file c:\oracle\admin\staging\bdump\staging_dbw0_3484.trc:

ORA-01242: data file suffered media failure: database in NOARCHIVELOG mode

ORA-01114: IO error writing block to file 2 (block # 2573)

ORA-01110: data file 2: 'C:\ORACLE\ORADATA\STAGING\UNDOTBS01.DBF'

ORA-27072: skgfdisp: I/O error

OSD-04008: WriteFile() failure, unable to write to file

O/S-Error: (OS 33) The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file.



Why this error occurs?

What we have to do to avoid getting this error.
