NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 MX driver update available ?

Hi

I have Solaris 11 11/11 installed on an ASUS X53S notebook with NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 MX graphics card.
After adding solaris-desktop the Gnome desktop and Xorg works fine.

The /var/log/Xorg.log.* says it's using a VESA driver for the display. Why not nvidia driver ?
Can Xorg be changed to a NVIDIA driver 295.xx without damaging the existing xserver configuration ?
Which xserver config files have to be saved before changing the graphics driver ?

The current nvidia package is
pkg://solaris/driver/graphics/nvidia@0.280.13.0,5.11-0.175.0.0.0.0.0:20110927T192428Z
