numtodsinterval bug??

I am running version 1.0.0.5 .. it is an older version but I have not run into a compeling reason to upgrade to the current version until now ... maybe

if I do

select numtodsinterval((sysdate - (sysdate-1/60/24)),'MINUTE') from dual;
in Developer I get nothing returned but if I do the same in sql+ I get some output

Is this a bug?
