We have a customer that has regulatory requirement that could cause the number of FT GL records to exceed the 999 limit set by Product. They are the same customer who requested the increase of the limit from 99 to 999 due to similar regulatory requirements from the government tax agency.
They expect the 999 limit to be exceeded again should the regulatory requirements from the government to treat market participants as suppliers push through.
Currently, they are already generating up to 130 lines of FT GLs. This is because government rules require them to build the VAT components for each of their suppliers in the rate schedule. Since they are using Cash Accounting in the distribution codes of the rate components, whenever a payment is collected, it adds two more FT GLs off the billing entries. On the average, they add 4 or 5 suppliers in the rate schedule every year for each DU. The government tax agency once asked them to add market participants as suppliers from the spot market. They currently purchase energy from 400 market participants. This means the system should be prepared to accommodate additional 3 FT GLs for each market participants.
