NUM_CPUS count in AWR report

In my AWR report under operating system statistics it is showing ..... Here NUM_CPUS value is showing 16 . Kindly let me know is it system physical CPU or it has different meaning . My operating system is Sun Solaris .

NUM_CPUS 16
