ntp refclock serial port
807559Dec 9 2003 — edited Dec 10 2003Hi everyone,
has anyone of you setup ntp (I'm using version 4.1.2) on Intel Solaris 9 for use of a reference clock connected to a serial port? I have a DCF77 clock that works perfectly well under Linux, but I can't get it to run on Solaris. The ntp daemon complains that it does not receive any data, and I assume that my serial ports are configured incorrectly. I have linked /dev/refclock-0 to /dev/ttya (or else to /dev/ttyb). Should I have used somethinge else, or is some special port configuration neccessary?
Thanks in advance for any hints,
Bernd.
