I know that ntp is running over UDP/123 and not TCP . But How Can I be sure that the firewall is allowing such kind of traffic .

I meant If TCP is used I can "telnet ntp-server 123" but this not applicable for UDP. because the firewall admin is claiming that he opened the port but I still get error msg "no suitable server is found" while the ntp working fine within the clients in the same network of ntp server . So how i can approve him that the firewall still not allowing ntp pockets,


Any clues ??
