"not supported calendar message.ics" error after upgrade to Exchange 2007

Hello,

Our company has recently upgraded to Exchange 2007 mail servers. I develop a java web application which sends out appointments to users. This app has been running fine for the last 4-5 years, sending out outlook appointments correctly, where the little calendar icon shows up by the message and you can Accept or Decline. Ever since the upgrade to Exchange 2007, the messages show up as regular emails with attachments called "not supported calendar message.ics". The user can double click this attachment and accept or decline the meeting. But we want it back to the way it used to work.

My guess is that Exchange 2007 is more picky about something, and what we had been doing was fine until the upgrade.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Steve
