Not able to ping from guest to host ............

I have installed vmware server 2.0 on windows xp 64 bit host in my laptop
I have installed vm guest Redhat enterprise linux version 5.0
My vmnet1 ipaddress in host is 192.168.8.1 and of guest is 192.168.1.2
I am able to ping from host to guest ...
However i am not able to ping from guest to host ...
my guest ifconfig reads as follows

Please help me and let me know what could be the reasons ... there are no firewalls in guest or the host ...........?????????????
