609435Nov 20 2009 — edited Nov 21 2009
Hello Everybody,

Database Version : 9.2.0.4.0
Os : Solaris 10

Few Days ago our hardisk on Database Server has Crashed.

Most of the Datafiles of the database was lost except for few. (No Backups)

Now we are trying to bring up the DB so that we can go ahead and utilize the rest of the Datafiles present.

When we are trying to Bring up the DB we are receiving the following error message in Alert Log File..
Errors in file /u07/app/oracle/admin/npm/udump/npm_ora_5383.trc:
ORA-00704: bootstrap process failure
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 2
ORA-00376: file 2 cannot be read at this time
ORA-01110: data file 2: '/u05/oradata/npm/rbs/undo01.dbf'
Fri Nov 20 16:22:28 2009
Error 704 happened during db open, shutting down database
USER: terminating instance due to error 704
Instance terminated by USER, pid = 5383
ORA-1092 signalled during: alter database open...
Is there any way to drop the Undo Tablespace in Mount Mode and Open the database.

Any Help Appreciated...

Thanks & Regards,
Prosenjit Mukherjee.
