I m new to Oracle DB. I downloaded Oracle 11gR2 DB from Oracle downloads page for Windows 64-bit and installed on Windows7.
During the installation it asked to enter password and I gave Password1.
I also got lot of errors saying that some of the files are not found. I skipped those messages and finally finished installation.
From start menu -> All programs -> Oracle_OraDB11g-home1 -> SQLplus
When I opened sqlplus it is prompting to enter username and password. I m not sure what the username as the OUI installer didnt ask me to enter the username. It just asked to give the password.
I tried with all different usernames like: SYSTEM, SYS, ADMIN, SYSADMIN, SCOTT with my password (Password1).
None of them worked and it throws below error:
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
How to fix this issue? Also what will be the User name to log into SQL plus?
Need help ASAP.
