Not able to drop synonyms and tables

SQL> drop public synonym PARTYCREATIO force;
drop public synonym PARTYCREATIO force
*

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid

SQL> drop table a;
drop table a
*
ERROR at line 1:
