Noarchivelog mode after upgrade completed

Hi all,

i have 11.2.0.1 primary and 11.2.0.1 standby databases on my test environment. I tried to upgrade both databases to 11.2.0.4 version.

The upgrade performed successfully with dbua but the primary database opened in NOARCHIVELOG mode. Therefore GAP occurred on the standby side and in terms of standby database this upgrade failed.

I don't want to disable archivelog mode on primary side during upgrade operation.

This is not default settings, isn't it ?

How can i perform this action ?
