NFS/CIFS Interoperability without Active Directory on a 7110

807557Jul 8 2009 — edited Jul 16 2009
I have a Sun Storage 7110 with the latest software (2009.04.10.3.1,1-1.17) and I am trying to do a NFS/CIFS interop test without Active Directory. I just have a standalone network with a PC (Win XP) and Sun Blade 2500 (Solaris 10) that I am trying benchmark. I created the share and have CIFS and NFS protocols enabled. When I create a file from Windows, the file is create and Solaris can see it with a "ls" command but then I get an I/O error if I try to "ls -la" or open the file. File created by Solaris open fine from Windows.

I tried to play around with the identity mapping but I think that only works with AD.

Any suggestions on what to try? I am using the defaults for everything.

Thanks
Chris
