New to Java

Hi all, I've a great problem:
my netbeans becomes terrible slow when I try to open project and when I perform all (simple) operations that involve file management.
when I select a jar file, select existing project and so on netbeans UI is is very, very, very slow!!!!

I'm using windows XP, netbeans 5.5.1 and various jdk. I don't change computer, I didn't do anything..

I try to uninstall existing java/netbeans remove preference (.netbeans folder), and reinstall but nothing change..
I'm sure that if I reinstall ALL windows problem disapper (last time works), but it is really TOO laborious...

I try to unload avg antivirus but problem still alive!
I also try to remove "-J-XX:PermSize=32m -J-XX:MaxPermSize=160m ", set bigger, but nothing change.

I've sony vaio vgn-fe11h (1GB ram), and I think (bu not SURE!!!) problem arise after install nokia pc suite or nokia sw updater.
I already remove it but no improvments are found.
Problem is ONLY into Netbeans. Other programs or windows in general is responsive!!!!

How can I disable entually network resource (I think thre isn't...)

Please give me a solution different to FORMAT and REINSTALL...
