Need to enable IPMI on Sun Fire x2270

We have a new Sun Fire x2270 server and need to use ipmitool in our application. Our system logs indicate that ipmi is not working, and there is no /dev/ipmi0 device as there should be. I assume something needs to be enabled in the BIOS but I cannot find anything related to IPMI. I found this link http://dlc.sun.com/pdf/820-5604-11/820-5604-11.pdf which indicated IPMI configuration is done through the Advanced menu in the BIOS, but there are no IPMI options available anywhere in our BIOS menus. Do anyone know how to get IPMI enabled on a Sun Fire x2270?
