SQL & PL/SQL

Hi all,

Pls help me to clear out the below doubt

1. On Sql Prompt if i give
Show User ** its a schema name ??

2. What Info i am getting if i give
Select * from global_name;

Both should be the username or they provide different infomation.

Pls provide your comments.
