I just started working from home and need to get into a program for work.
I click on the link and my computer says that I cannot open it because I have Java 2 and it runs on Java 1. I was told to remove my cached client file so I clicked on the link that says
Remove Cached Client (If Java 2 detected, removes Java 2, else removes Java 1)
Then it gives me a pop up that says
Applet(s) in this HTLM page requires a version of java different from the one the browser is currently using. In order to run the applet(s) in this HTLM page, a new browser session is required. Close all the netscape browser sessions and start a new browser session to run the HTLM page.
My coworkers have Microsoft VM on their computers. we have compaired our tools, under internet options, and the advanced tab,they have a section that says Microsoft VM
and the boxes that are checked under that section are... Java console enable Java logging enable JIT compiler for virtual machine enable (requires restart).
I only have one that says Java (Sun) with a box underneath that says Use JRE 1.5.0_04 for <applet> (requires restart)
Can ANYONE help me? I have spent the entire day the past three days in front of my computer and trying to find someone to help. i called Java and they suggested that I come here for help.
