New to Java

This is my first time doing anything with java. I could use some help with a project I have due soon. I'm suppose to be Write an application that prompts for and reads a double value representing a monetary amount. Then, determine the fewest number of each bill and coin needed to represent that amount, starting with the highest.

I have been working on it for the last couple of hours and the only thing I have done is put done the different types of bills. The main thing I ned help with is tring to figure out how to do the math part.
The final version is suppose to look like this. The only thing i have is the text part.
