Need help: Tomcat

Hi all,
I need a suggestion. I have designed a time recording system using MS Access database and Tomcat. My company is using it from the own server. It is not on the internet. Now the problem is every employee needs to login to the server and record their times and it is only possible if they are in the office. Some employee work from the home as well. The problem is we the finance manager need the completed database by the end of the month and also some employees are at home on that time.

Now can anyone please tell me that how i can solve that problem. The only solution is to install the Tomcat server on the Employees laptop to record time but then the database will not be the same because the database is on the server. Can anyone please suggest me a way. I really need your help guys.

Thanks
