Need help to connect Oracle with TOAD

Hi All,

I have installed my oracle Database on Redhat 4 enterprise edition on VMWARE VIRTUAL machine,
And i installed oracle client on Windows 7
from cmd prompt i am able to connect database
but when i tried to connect using TOAD it showing error code as follows

ORA_06413 Connection Not open

Plz help me i am a beginner....
