Hi,
I have a scenario in which I need to find a depreciation value of any asset. Please find the details below.
1) Has 4 forms.
2)One Form which get the input of an asset "Quantity" and the other one is for "Rate" of an asset along with the "Useful Life (In Months)" of that asset.
3)Third form is to calculate the "Value" of that asset (i.e) Value= Quantity*Rate.
4)Fourth form is to find the Depreciation Cost. Depreication cost value should be allocated to the following months from which the asset has been purchased also it should be allocated based on the asset "Useful Life (In Months)".
EX:
If i have purchased an asset on the month of "Jan" and the life time of that asset is for 6 month means the VALUE of that asset should be calculated only on the month of "Jan" and the depreciation value should be calculated from "Feb":"Jul" since the life time of that asset is for 6 months.
Pls note that the useful life time of the asset can be an month.
Note:
Now we got stuck in allocating the Depreciation Value of the particular asset based on its Useful Life (In Months).
Here is the calculation part to find the "Cost" of the asset and the "Depreciation Cost" of the asset.
"Cost"="Quantity"->"Building & Warehouse"*"RATE"->"Building & Warehouse"->"No Period"->"No Entity"->"No BU"->"No CRC"->"No Location";
"Depreciation Cost"="Cost"/"USEFUL LIFE (In Months)"->"Building & Warehouse"->"No Period"->"No Entity"->"No BU"->"No CRC"->"No Location";
Please let me know if we can use @ALLOCATE function to spread the dep value based on the "Useful life (In Months)", if yes please let me know how to use it. Please find below the "Parameters"
1) Depreciation Cost 2)Useful Life (In Months).
