Mysterious Tables

Hello All,

I've got a schema set up for a web application I'm developing using Cold Fusion MX 6.1 and Oracle 9i Enterprise Edition. I started off with about 10 tables. The next time I checked the schema there were 236 additional tables!! Now, I have no idea where these came from. The tables are named with:

EPC_CLI_*
SMP_VDV_*
VBZ$*
VDK_*
VMQ*

My question is, what triggered their creation and is it OK to remove them?
