MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server???

843835Apr 4 2003 — edited Apr 7 2003
Hi

I've started doing a site using JSP for the company I work for and it needs to be database driven. Initially I have started doing it using MySQL for the database as it is free but I have just found out we have Mircosoft SQL Server 2000 as well. Since I am in early stages of the project it is not too late to change to Microsft SQL Server. The site doesn't need to be able to handle a hugh amount of users at any one time but it does need to be as secure and as stable as possible. This is mind, which is more suitable for me to use - MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server? (It's obviously going to be run on a win 2000 server)

Thanks in advance for any replies!
