My java swing application is very slow with JRE 1.6.0_12

Dear All,
I'm running a java swing application in solaris sparc machine, its launching very slowly with JRE 1.6 and JRE 1.5.
But if i try to launch the same application with JRE 1.4, it will launch quickly.
My application is compiled in Java 1.4
Any solution for this problem?
Please reply ASAP.
