Oracle Database Discussions

Hello, we have a 3 node oracle rac cluster running 10.2.0.3 on the linux itanium platform running RHEL4. We currently use bonding for both the public and private interface connection where bond0 is configured in rac for the public connections and bond1 is configured for the rac interconnect traffic.
Our network operations team is looking to migrate the servers over to a new network that we have recently configured and they want to create some temporary connections on the datatabse servers so that they will be connected to the new network so we can migrate one of our websites onto the new netwrok while still maintaining the existoing network connections..
We are looking to add a new network adapter into each server and reconfigure the listeners and add the additionl new ip address into the listener config on each server.
Is this supported and or recommended? I think I know the answer but would like to know if there is any documentation that recommends against this type of configuration?
