Multi-master replication

807573Jul 31 2007 — edited Jul 31 2007
we are setting up a Multi-master replication in our environment and we hve 2 Masters and 3 Consumers to each master.

As we know that we will load the data into the primary Master and setup a RA between the both Masters ......after setting up the RA1 betweeen the Primary and secondary master, We will intialize the Second Master from the Primary ..up to here am fine

The question i have is....After setting up the RA2 Between Second and Primary Master in the Secondary...Do we again have to intialize the Primary Master from the Secondary or is it enough if we just select "send the updates" option ...

If we do so...what happens to the Primary Master data.....I know tht would be updated Data as the Seconday is getting updates from the Primary...

i Think we also need to start the second master to accept the replication updates by making the attribute
"ds2startreplica: on "...or else do we have to do this on both the Masters?
Please let me know am i thinking here correctly...appreciate your replies.
