MRP is running in delay or noday

Hi,

In our organisation, we have set delay parameters for all the data-guards to avoid unwanted changes to get replicated that happened on primary and thats a reason behind setting this parameter, am I right????. But from few days lots of archives are generating on primary and they are getting shipped to stndby but not getting applied as delay is set.

In RMAN configuration we have set archive deletion policy to delete archives that are applied to standby, so our archive backup jobs are not cleaning up space from archive location in primary.

We have to forcefully start the MRP process in noday to get those archives applied. So my question here is that, is there any view or parameter available which can give us the status of MRP process (apply process) to show delay parameter (I am not talking about  arch GAP status) .

lets say, earlier MRP was running in delay mode as delay parameter was set on primary using log_archive_dest_2. But now I have forcefully restarted the recovery in noday.

So, how I can confirm this change from standby side.

I can check the alert log or time when arc arrived and gets applied. But is there any view to check that from database end just to make administration simple.

Thanks in advance.
