Moving Planning application from devlopment to production

663057Sep 24 2010 — edited Sep 24 2010
Hi,

we have created new production environment as a clone of development. All component are installed exactly same.

Version 9.3.1, Planning, essbase, fin reporting, shared services etc.... RDBMS- Oracle . All hyperion component on Windows, RDBMS on Linux.

Target server is similar, hyperion on windows, RDBMS on Linux.

I would like to move planning application (data, dataform, security, RDBMS etc.) from Development to Production:

Q1) Does i need to migrate Application? (shared services, essabse, data, RDBMS, Planning) etc.

OR

Q2) should i use backup restore? (all relevant folder, data, security, dataform, Business rule, Calc script)

Q3) anything else???

As i know migration is good choice but when we move on different OS, here target and source OS are similar.

Regards
Kumar
