Moving Average

I am trying to get an average amt for the past 6 weeks of data. I'm not sure if I would use a moving average or what for this.
In my data, it looks like this:
Region | Amt | Week_Ending
R1 | 100 | 8/1/2008
R1 | 200 | 8/8/2008
R2 | 300 | 8/1/2008
R2 | 400 | 8/8/2008
... and so on (this table gets loaded weekly)
So basically I want to display a chart that plots the week by week change of the amount against the 6 week moving average (the average amt over the last 6 weeks of data).
Is this even possible? I tried messing aroudn with a pivot table and MAVG(amt, 6) but it didn't really do what I wanted to. Any ideas?
