Here is my scenario, and I'm not find a clear document to do that.
I have the classical configuration using oracle names where chicago (on host A) is the primary and boston (on host B) is the physical standby.
My goal is to move boston (StandBy) to host C.
#1 I don't want to add a new standby and then remove boston
#2 on host C only the ORACLE_HOME exists, as it's a new server nothing configured there
#3 its OK to shutdown boston during the movement
#4 after boston comes back, of course need resync the logs/scn
Any existing document/or idea? I'm not finding something clear for this scenario.
