move objects into a frame

I have a report with many frames, which contain themselves many objects.
I'd like to create a new frame, and to move some of my existing frames (and all their content) into it.
In other situations, I used to cut simple objects and paste them into a frame. When I do this with my existing frames, their content is not cut with them, so it all ends up in the parent frame.
Because of the number of objects in them, selecting all their content elements one by one in order to cut the whole thing is not an option.
Anyone have an idea ?
