MOOC: NetBeans Connector Chrome Extension not recognized?

I am having trouble running applications from NetBeans IDE. I keep receiving the following error.

I have installed the connector extension, restarted both NetBeans and Chrome (even Windows), but nothing changes. Here is the screenshot of the extension page.

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.143
NetBeans version: 8.2 (Build 201609300101)
Connector version: 1.1.5

Any advice is highly appreciated.
