monitor dml on 3 tables

Peter KOct 4 2010 — edited Oct 4 2010
I am in the process of investigating the DML for 3 very large tables. I would like to partition the three tables, but wish to assess all the statements against each of the three before I decide on the partitioning strategy and indexing.

Could anybody suggest how I can obtain all the runtime explain plans for any DML statement against these three tables. Specifically for an hour, between 2 and 3pm, which is when the most DML occurs?

The system is a very busy with many tables, so I prefer not to wade through thousands of lines in any trace dump file before I find what I want as that might take a long time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
