Modifying a Hostname

Dyn Remote Access (Dynamic DNS/DynDNS Pro) hostnames can be easily modified after being created. You can modify the service type, TTL, and more.

1. Log into your Dyn account.
2. Click on My Hosts.
3. Select the hostname that you would like to modify from the DynDNS Hostnames list.
4. The following fields can be modified on an existing hostname: Wildcard Ensures that if you or someone you’ve entrusted with your hostname appends the hostname with a prefix (e.g., www.) that it will still resolve. Service Type IPv4 address (a) IPv6 address (b) Webhop to another full URL (c) Looking to do some mail routing or modify the TTL? Click here for help.
5. Click Save Changes to commit the changes.
