Missing oracle executable!?

Hi experts,

I have a linux server with Oracle XE installed. Few days ago, my hosting provided notified of some patches to apply without any warning to shutdown services properly... thanks www.1&1.es :-(

So now, when trying to startup database I get this error:

I've detected that file $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle is missing.

Is it normal? Some kind of hacking? Some way to regenerate it?
