Minimun RAM required for Oracle installation

Mark1970Jun 8 2012 — edited Jun 8 2012
As I'm about to install Oracle 10g on a notebook with 2Gb RAM (the PC is new, empty), I'd like to know whether 2Gb is enough. I ask for it 'cause looking for Oracle documentation I've noticed (perhaps I'm mistaken) that for Oracle 10g it's advised 1 GB minimum, 4 GB recommended whereas for Oracle 11g it's advised 512 MB minimum, 1 GB recommended.
However, even according to your experiences, are 2Gb RAM enough for working? I remind you I have just to work for training activities as junior DBA and so my notebook won't be a real Server for menaging a lot of data.
I'm going to install as well Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Developer Suite 10g (forms and reports) and APEX which should be "light" enough.
My notebook OS is Windows XP
Thanks in advance!
