I am at the design phase in building a 2-Node RAC DB . At peak , this DB is going to have around 400 concurrent sessions. DB size will be around 400GB.
I asked for 6 vCPUs and 16 GB for each VM. But, VM admin is asking justification on why I need 6 CPUs for this relatively small DB. He says 4 CPUs are more than enough.
Grid Infrastructure Installation Guide for Linux ( E41961-09 ) doesn't say anything about the minimum number of CPUs for GI.
Is there any rule of thumb which will help me in determining the number of CPUs required ? Or any MOS document which can guide me on this?
