now when i am using following query it shows the min date perfectly but it shows the date in 24 hours format because i use 24 hour format.

(select min(to_char(date,'MM/DD/RRRR HH24:MI:SS')) from dual.

but when i am applying 12 hours format its does not showing the min date

(select min(to_char(date,'MM/DD/RRRR HH24:MI:SS am ')) from dual.
