Migration from old to new storage box

Ankit Ashok AggarwalNov 26 2012 — edited Nov 27 2012
O/s - AIX
Present Storage - IBM XIV Storage
New Storage - HP EVA 8400 Storage

We are planning to migrate from old storage to new storage box. these are oracle servers.
storage team and AIX o/s teams are going to migrate data from old storage box to new storage box. (step of migration include - backup of o/s volumes and restoring same into new storage box).

WHAT ORACLE DBA SHOULD DO, RECOMMEND SO THAT OUR ORACLE DATABASE SHOULD FLAWLESSLY RUN ON NEW STORAGE SYSTEM?? Please share your inputs??

My Assumption : As AIX o/s team will due prime migration job so being a DBA we need not to do anything. oracle binaries/ oracle data files same will be migrate to new storage box as it is. We being ORACLE DBA simply should ensure that we should have our oracle databases architecture recorded with us.

All Suggestions, questions are welcome, thanks friends.
