Migrating from Linux OS to Windows OS

MSandicoJan 20 2016 — edited Jan 21 2016

Hi All,

Further to my thread earlier, a client has a RAC database on Linux Red Hat. We are planning on taking a full data pump export and importing it into a new server, running Microsoft Windows, same Oracle edition/version.

Is this possible? I have a feeling it may not work because certain Oracle parameters (i.e. ORAFRA), would be pointing to old Linux mountpoints. Or, maybe just maybe, they can be changed after?

If it's not possible, any idea how we can even achieve this?

Thanks in advance.
