Migrate OAM policy/config to new database

Currently we use OID to store our policy and configuration for OAM (Access and Identity) We want to migrate this information to a new back-end database, Active Directory. Does anyone have experience performing such a procedure? Oracle used to have a migration tool but they no longer support it because there were so many bugs with it.

Any feedback is appreciated.
