I want to run JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0 on a Windows 7 machine. I have a default install and when I try to run a simple test application, JDeveloper hangs and the MsMpEng.exe process takes 30-40% of CPU. According to my search, this is the Microsoft Malware Protection service.
I have worked around this by disabling real-time protection. I can do this on these training machines, but won't be able to do it on regular development machines.
Has anybody else seen this behavior? Have you worked around it in some way? Please share your experience.
