Microsoft Loopback adapter issue on Vista

657379Aug 30 2008 — edited Apr 16 2011
Hi,

I'm trying to install oracle 10g on Vista and I had a warning issue. I went back to installation guide and install microsoft loopback adapter. However the same message persists eventhough the installation of the network adapter was successfull.

Could anyone help?

Thanks.

Problem: The install has detected that the primary IP address of the system is DHCP-assigned.
Recommendation: Oracle supports installations on systems with DHCP-assigned IP addresses; However, before you can do this, you must configure the Microsoft LoopBack Adapter to be the primary network adapter on the system. See the Installation Guide for more details on installing the software on systems configured with DHCP.
