metainit -- unable to create a new metaDB

807559Jul 8 2005 — edited Jul 10 2005
Here's the error message I'm getting:

# metainit -f d1 1 1 c0t0d0s0
metainit: app1: there are no existing databases

#

===========================

Would I have better luck using this:

metainit -f d1 1 1 c0t0d0s0
metainit -f d2 1 1 c0t1d0s0
metainit d0 -m d1

===========================

OR

would I be better off creating the metaDBs on completely separate slices?

I have 2 created on each disk, 11.5 MB in size. Can I mirror all the slices on the disk across using these 2 metaDBs?
