Meta Data Import In PBCS

NJMar 1 2017 — edited Mar 1 2017

Hi ,

My query is with regards to the Meta data import file format for Hyperion Planning/ PBCS.

While creating a dummy application my requirement was to create the application with 3 plan types and have my accounts dimension valid for only 2 plan types.

Lets say I have the following plan types:

Plan A

Plan B

Plan c

I took the export of the Accounts dimension from the system to have the file format and update it with the necessary information to import it back into the application to build the accounts hierarchy.

The members uploaded in the dimension took the Data properties from 'Data Storage' Column( Which I believe is the default) and not from its respective plan type specific data storage column.

Post the import , I was expecting For Plan type A , member A would be Store and For Type B would be Never share but instead member A for both plan types was Dynamic calc.

Is that behavior correct?

if so then why do we have that storage column specific to the plan type?
