Messages read in Outlook / Thunderbird are marked unread in Zimbra

If I read a message in my personal inbox with Thunderbird or Outlook it is marked as "read". If I look at this message from Zimbra it is marked as "read" as well.
But this seems to work only with my personal mailbox.

We have configured a central mailbox (support user) for support usage where several different supporters have access to.
An email to this "support user" gets into the support inbox and someone has to take care of it.
In Thunderbird or Outlook the other users can see which mail has already been read by someone.

But if I open this supprt mailbox with Zimbra, ALL messages are marked as unread, except those which I opened with Zimbra.

Is this a bug or do I have to configure something?
