message id and UID?

HI, I have questions regarding message id and UID.

From previous postings, I found Message id is generated by different servers, so it might not be unique to identify a message. Then how about UID. Is UID unique to identify a email within account ( or folder )?

Nornally what are the different usage of message_id and UID?

For inbound message, if I move ( copy and delete ) a message from one folder to another folder, will the message-Id or UID keeping a same? What happened internally for the moving action?
