Merging PDF attachment from Siebel CRM to BI Publisher report

Hi All,
We need to merge attachments from Siebel 7.8 (patched to work like 8.1.1.1) to the reports generated by BI Publisher (10.1.3.4.1). Is this concept possible? If not, what options do we have? The structure of the document should be: prefix doc (attachment), report generated by BIP, appendix pdf (attachment).
Can we use the DFDocMerger API of BI publisher for this one? If yes how will this work? Many thanks in advance!
